Philosophy and Approach
It takes courage and vulnerability to take the beginning steps into choosing to care for yourself. I believe people begin looking into counseling because they are ready for changes; and my desire is to help you believe that you have the ability to do so. During the counseling process clients will develop goals, develop better understanding of self, and be supported in their growth. I will commit to meeting you where you are, and it is my hope that through our work together you will feel heard, seen, and able to be authentically you.
I use Emotional Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other approaches that will best fit your needs. I believe that by recognizing and expressing underlying emotions, clients can enhance their communication, foster trust, and foster more secure attachment patterns. I have a history of ministry experience that I can utilize to support my clients in the integration of faith to foster healing, processing belief systems, and development of spiritual identity.
My treatment approach has a strong relational and collaborative component. Starting therapy takes courage and I am glad that you are here. Central to my practice is the creation of a warm, safe and unconditionally accepting, non-judgmental environment. In this space we can more easily be ourselves and authentically participate in a therapeutic relationship, where we will work together as a team to help improve your life and reach your goals. It would be my privilege to witness your story, foster a context for healing, and provide a place where you can be authentic.

About me
I moved to Oregon almost 4 years ago from Texas. I am still learning to love hiking (not there yet), but I am able appreciate the beauty and seasons of the PNW. When I am not working you can find me snowboarding with my wife, playing with our goofy adopted pup, and being in community with close friends.
